The Mediterranean Superyacht Forum 2026
On the 28th and 29th of April, Palma once again became a meeting point for the international superyacht industry, with the first edition of the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum, an evolution of the event previously known as The Balearic Superyacht Forum.
The name change reflects the growth the event has experienced since its launch and its ambition to extend beyond the Balearic Islands, to become a leading forum for the Mediterranean as a whole. With Palma remaining as its host city, the event has broadened its international scope, bringing together key industry stakeholders to debate and share their knowledge. Additionally, it seeks collaborative solutions to the major challenges facing the sector, from innovation and sustainability to talent, digitalisation and refit infrastructure.
As well as serving as a Headline Partner, members of the Astilleros de Mallorca team took an active role in some of the programme’s main discussion sessions.
Our Production Director, Paul Grünig, took part in the panel discussion “From Company Challenges to Collective Solutions”, where he shared his perspective on how the day-to-day challenges faced by companies can be transformed into opportunities for collaboration, helping to strengthen the industry as a whole and enhance the Mediterranean’s competitiveness as a leading refit destination.
Our Quality, Innovation and Sustainability Director, Lucía Mingot, participated in the discussion “The Role of Innovation in the Future of Yachting”, highlighting the importance of innovation, continuous improvement and quality processes as essential elements in meeting increasingly demanding market expectations and addressing the challenges of the years ahead.
Astilleros de Mallorca’s presence was further reinforced by the participation of our CEO, Diego Colón, and our Director, Carlos Morales, in the small-group working sessions. This collaborative format encouraged the exchange of experiences and the development of practical solutions among representatives from shipyards, marinas, management companies, captains and specialist businesses.
More than simply a conference programme, the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum once again demonstrated that it has become a genuine space for reflection and collaboration within the industry. It is a meeting point where shared knowledge, innovation and dialogue between professionals help shape the future of the sector from a Mediterranean perspective with a global outlook.
