Astilleros de Mallorca expands its presence in the Mediterranean alongside VMG Astilleros de Sagunto
Astilleros de Mallorca is glad to announce that it has reached a strategic partnership with VMG Astilleros de Sagunto, for the managing of Yacht Refit & Repair projects at VMG’s facilities, which includes a new yacht-dedicated 5,000t shiplift.
We believe that this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties, bringing together these state-of-the-art facilities for larger yachts, and the extensive experience of Astilleros de Mallorca in the Yacht Refit & Repair industry.
As of today, we are pleased to confirm that VMG Astilleros de Sagunto has successfully hauled out its first yacht project at their shiplift facility, with the project contracted and managed by Astilleros de Mallorca—marking a key milestone in this partnership and the first of what we expect will be many successful projects to come.
This will complement the current capabilities of Astilleros de Mallorca, which consists of its main shipyard and STP facilities in Palma, with a haul out capacity of 1,600t and berths for yachts of up to 120m, and its offices and workshops in mainland Spain, at Marina Port Tarraco and IGY Malaga Marina.
Sagunto will enable us to haul out our clients’ yachts that are over 75m that until now we could only service in the water in Palma. This gives us the flexibility to do refits in either location or in both, depending on the type of project and the Clients wishes.
