Technical Data Sheets
Astilleros de Mallorca keep up with the very latest technology in shipbuilding and repair. We have a vast library of technical data sheets that are constantly under review.
Here we list some of the most important and current data sheets that you can freely peruse and download.

PRELIMINARY EFFICIENCY SURVEY
The new IMO regulation which requires a Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) faces the yacht industry with the challenge to make a diagnosis of the actual situation and establish achievable objectives towards a more efficient operation. In this case, Astilleros de Mallorca suggest using the crews’ knowledge regarding the behavior of their yacht, guided by Atlante, a Marine Consultancy specialized in the implementation of energy efficiency and the issuing of a PRELIMINARY EFFICIENCY SURVEY.

ALARM MONITORING CONTROL SYSTEMS
Integrated control and alarm systems have revolutionized life on board over the last decade. Historical alarm logs or tank and bilge level records, which were logged by hand, are now registered and stored automatically, in formats which can be later presented by means of tables with personalized filters, sorted according to their relevance or in easy to read graphics.

DOCKING PLANS
It happens quite often and mostly on the more aged vessels, that no reliable docking drawings are available on board. As a substitute to them, a body plan general arrangement drawing and even some structural drawings are usually used and, in some occasions not even one of the aforesaid drawings is available.

AIR COMPRESSORS AND ASSOCIATED INSTALLATIONS
Compressed air is used in almost every Yacht, for general service purposes, as starting energy for engines or for primary energy for air horns. In reality it is expensive to produce, it can be quite noisy and if fails may lead to a major accident. Compliment with class regulations, correct installation and regular maintenance will help to avoid failures, extra costs and discomfort on board

GENERATORS LOAD TESTING
Load testing is the process of putting demand on a system or device and measuring its response. Load testing is performed to determine a system’s behaviour under both normal and anticipated peak load conditions. It helps to test measuring elements on the main switchboard as well as onboard protections.

SWITCHBOARDS
Modifications on engine room equipment such as installation of new compressors or change of gens sets will require modifications on main switchboard. In other cases the modifications might result from the installation of new management systems or equipment controllers. Astilleros de Mallorca provides experienced services and quality designs that will allow ............

MACHINING OF STERNTUBE, BRACKETS AND RUDDER BEARING HOUSING
Astilleros de Mallorca have the means and the duly specialized workforce to carry out full guarantee in situ machining works, solving up in that way many of the problems with which the customer might need to face.

TANK CLEANING, FUEL OIL FILTERING AND SEPARATING
Astilleros de Mallorca offers a filtering and separating service for fuel oil. Our separator removes water by coalescence and at the same time minimizes oil contamination levels of particles and oil degradation products (oxidation resin/sludge, varnish) by means of a fine filtration. We also offer a cleaning service for fuel and oil tanks including the issuing of Marpol certificates.

THERMOGRAPHIC INSPECTION
Non Destructive Testing (NDT) has become a must when trying to evaluate products or systems without alteration of the inspected items. One of those techniques is the thermographic inspection that allows a safe and non intrusive examination without contact with the inspected elements.

CLEARANCE MEASUREMENT: SHAFTLINE AND RUDDER BEARINGS
Classification Societies require the verification of stern tube and bracket bearing clearances as well as rudder stock and pintles (as far as possible) each time that a Docking Survey is carried out. These surveys are to be performed twice in a period of five years with a maximum of three years between two consecutive surveys.

ANCHOR CHAIN CALIBRATIONS
Classification Societies normally require the examination and calibration of anchor chains from the second special survey (10 years), defining the acceptable limits of wear prior to renewing concerned chains. This calibration might be requested before the 10 year standard period, should evident wear or signs of corrosion appear.
