Klosters Rig

The new 46m rig supplied by Formula Marine Holland arrived on February 27th. Saturday morning 7:30 was a perfect moment to cut off the Paseo Maritimo, one of Palmas main traffic roads to the airport, and allow the truck driver to manoeuvre the "Exceptional Convoy" to the Astilleros facilities.

The new aluminium mast came together with the new carbon booms supplied by Formula Marine France. Bamar supplied the in-boom furling system as well as the new captive Halyard winches.
Rigging Shop plans to step the rig mid March 2010 and the delivery of the yacht is scheduled for mid April. KLOSTERS can then be seen sailing with a new set of sails from NORTH SAILS from South Africa which are controlled by a furling control system supplied by PERINI NAVI. For further details, please contact Rob van Wieringen or Captain Barry Jones.
